Planning

This is my basic planning document, it is a document of all of my initial ideas and more developed narrative ideas. The shot list is vague as the video features the same sequence of clip styles with the alternation between the long, wide shots and close ups of the artist walking.

  

I emailed the record label manager of the song that I plan to use to get permission to use the song.

On the left are my detailed draft layouts for the ancillary products and on the right are the more basic versions that do not have a great deal of detail, I then changed the artist name from Coexist to Jake Roberts, this then changed to Elements and the Album name changed to Distortion. I made a more detailed, more stylized version of the poster as a draft layout, shown below.
I got some feedback on my draft layouts and the general response was that the layout looks conventional but the fonts and colour scheme needs some work which is what I will focus on changing



SHOT LIST

My storyboard features all of the different shot types that I will use in my video, I felt that doing it this way would be easier than drawing out the same shot type many times.

Ancillary Product Planning

The photos from the ancillary products would be taken at the same time as filming for the video as I will already have the character in costume and at location. I could also take some of the images for the ancillary products from the videos that I film when filming for the music video.
